Fewer Harrington & Partners’ story began in 1975 with the late Nicky Fewer, a well-known figure in Waterford who was deeply passionate about the city’s future. Nicky was the creative and driving force behind many landmark developments through his practice, Fewer McGinley.
This laid the foundation for what would become Fewer Harrington & Partners, a practice built on vision, innovation, and uncompromising quality.
In 2003, Fewer McGinley merged with HRM Architects, led by Niall Harrington. Like Nicky, Niall brought a wealth of experience in large-scale international projects and a passion for delivering high-calibre, forward-thinking developments.
Today, FHP operates from offices in Waterford, Dublin, London, Warsaw, Mexico, Jeddah, and Riyadh, bringing together decades of architectural experience across all sectors and scales. With Ian Fewer, son of Nicky, currently operating as Managing Director the company has continued its immense growth, maintaining the same core values and client centred approach the company has had since day one.
A Gathering of Friends, Family & the FHP Community
There is no better way to celebrate our 50th anniversary than by having bringing together the people who have shaped our story. From the talented individuals who have worked at FHP over the years, to the trusted partners and collaborators who have joined us on projects around the world and our family members who have supported us throughout this journey.
Set in stunning location on a small island at the historic Waterford Castle on one of the most amazing Irish summer days we gathered for an evening filled with warm conversation, shared memories, fantastic music, questionable dancing and a collective pride in what we have achieved together over the past five decades. Guests enjoyed a blend of reflection and celebration, looking back on our architectural journey while also discussing the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.
The castle’s unique charm and timeless elegance provided the perfect setting the occasion. Surrounded by friends old and new, colleagues past and present, and partners near and far, we were reminded that while architecture is about creating places, it is the relationships, dedication, and shared vision behind them that truly define our success.
A Heartfelt Thank You
To mark our 50th anniversary, we want to sincerely thank our friends, family, clients, and colleagues both past and present. To those who joined us in celebration, and to everyone who has been part of the FHP journey over the last five decades: your trust, support, and collaboration have been the foundation of our success. We look forward to continuing this legacy and shaping the future together.
