Fewer Harrington & Partners is the design partner for three brand-new nursing homes by Whitebox Property to the value of €43.5 million in Waterford City, Kilkenny and Tramore.
Nursing Homes in the South East
Three new nursing homes are to be delivered by Whitebox Property in Waterford, Kilkenny and Tramore between now and early 2023 to the sum of €43.5 million which Fewer Harrington & Partners was contracted as a design partner for.
Built by David Flynn Ltd., the three developments will together comprise 273 ensuite bedrooms for elderly people who require continuous care, and are set to be delivered between Q3 of 2022 and Q1 of 2023.
As the design team for this development, Fewer Harrington & Partners looks forward to seeing the delivery of these homes in order to meet the current, and expected, demands for elderly care facilities in the South East.
As per our commitment to sustainable design, all three of these developments will be nearly zero-energy buildings (NZEBs) and will include energy-efficient systems including heat pumps and high-efficiency LED lighting.
FHP Managing Director, Ian Fewer said, “Fewer Harrington & Partners is excited to be involved with the development of three care homes in the South East, which we welcome given the growing demand for elderly care facilities.”
“We pride ourselves on our ability to design with the end-user in mind and have instilled the core principles of sustainable design throughout the design process.”
Below are the details of the three developments and their timelines:
