This was achieved by creating internal streets, instead of traditional corridors, being mindful of both internal and external spaces. This light and open yet secure approach promotes and wellbeing and social interaction.
Blackwater Nursing home is located in a rural setting close the village of Blackwater in County Wexford, Ireland. Designed to cater for the increasing demand for step down care within this region, the facility includes a 90 bed nursing home with 24 independent living units and associated day spaces centered around a secure courtyard. The facility provides 24 hour care to its residents and features a mix of luxuriously appointed one and two bedroom suites.
